Description

These gluten free, dairy free chocolate covered dates are the perfect sweet treat for those with quite a few flavor filters!


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 package dried and pitted Medjool dates
  • 1 cup gluten free chocolate chips (I recommend this brand)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • Coarse salt
  • Optional: Shredded coconut, chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, microwave chocolate chips and coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring in between cycles.
  2. Dip dates in chocolate mixture, laying each flat on a sheet of parchment paper.
  3. Right after laying each date flat, sprinkle with desired toppings and allow to harden.
  4. After 10 minutes, the dates should be dry enough to transfer to a plate and serve. If not, feel free to place in the freezer for a few minutes before serving.
