Description
These gluten free, dairy free chocolate covered dates are the perfect sweet treat for those with quite a few flavor filters!

- 1 package dried and pitted Medjool dates
- 1 cup gluten free chocolate chips (I recommend this brand)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- Coarse salt
- Optional: Shredded coconut, chopped nuts
Instructions
- In a small mixing bowl, microwave chocolate chips and coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring in between cycles.
- Dip dates in chocolate mixture, laying each flat on a sheet of parchment paper.
- Right after laying each date flat, sprinkle with desired toppings and allow to harden.
- After 10 minutes, the dates should be dry enough to transfer to a plate and serve. If not, feel free to place in the freezer for a few minutes before serving.
